Wool
With wool we mean the frizzy or waved hair of a sheep. Pure new wool refers to the unrecycled fleece sheared directly from the sheep. Wool is a good insulator of warmth and has the ability to absorb a great deal of moisture (water vapour) without feeling damp to the touch. Woollen fabrics are reasonably flame retardant. Wool is a highly elastic material that is easy to shape. It has a great tendency to become matted. More and more woollen fabrics that are machine washable are being introduced to the market.
